WELCOME ADDRESS

It is about the goal and it is about the journey.

A great, momentous milestone and I would say as well an historical one.

The birth of the Regular Grand Lodge of Albania; free and accepted; recognized, respected, supported and encouraged is nothing more and nothing less what that small group; that handful of brothers who started this amazing journey deserve.

We remember the start of the journey, the dynamism and enthusiasm in search of the light and the amazing will to share it with our good friends, now solid brothers.

We remember the pain and sorrow we experienced when the masonic reality was deformed and complicated, but we never stopped. We knew it would not last forever.

We remember with great pleasure those small successes, those minor milestones that brought us gradually to this great day.

We knew from the beginning what the true brotherhood is; what is stands for and what it looks like. It is a feeling we experience whenever we meet, talk, discuss and embrace our Turkish Brothers of the United Grand Lodge of Turkey; a cornerstone and a torch in our journey towards this day.

 My Brothers know that I am not the person who likes using quotes in speeches, but this day is an exception: ”Nelson Mandela used to say: celebrate the milestone, as you get ready for the road ahead”.

What we are experiencing today here is what Freemasonry deserves in Albania and what Albania deserves in Freemasonry.

And, yes, with such a presence and so many brothers from so many Grand Lodges I am sure that the next milestone will be an even more memorable one.

May the Blessings of the Grand Architect of the Universe rest upon us, throughout our path.

May the Most High nourish our hopes, for all eternity.
